That was one of the largest attacks with
as you rightly said and I need to
highlight 600 drones and nearly 20
missiles, ballistic and cruise missiles.
We are seeing that Russian attacks
always include the terrorist attacks
against the apartment buildings. It is
very much 911 style of attacks. That's
terrorism. So basically I spent last
night in the subway in the metro station
just like British people uh sheltered
from the Nazi attacks during the World
War II. Right now we are seeing that
modern Nazi Russian state is attacking
Ukraine with a clear aim to destroy us.
>> And and how unusual is a strike of this
scale on Kiev at the moment?
If you take a look the tendency the
Russian strikes significantly
intensified and extended the scale since
inauguration of President Trump and
comparing to let's say last summer uh
Russians are attacking Ukraine with 10
to 12 times more weapons mostly drones
they significantly uh scaled up the
production of drones and ballistic
missiles as Well, and that is clearly,
you know, their tactics to intimidate
Ukraine, to make Ukrainian people put
the pressure at President Zalinski to
surrender. And on one hand, they are
pretending that they are engaging in the
peace talks. You know that Russians are
talking to President Trump. We are
listening and hearing from President
Trump for actually the last half a year
that two more weeks and then there might
be sanctions. two more weeks and then
there might be consequences. But
simultaneously, Russians are doing
nothing except killing Ukrainians,
murdering. You said that three people um
that um three children died. The
youngest one was 2 year old. And when we
are listening European leaders
discussing Sky Shield and other security
guarantees after the war ends, I have a
clear question. But how and when will
the war end? Because at this point we
are seeing that Russia is very much
determined to destroy Ukraine and to
expand their aggression further. And
instead of focusing on what will happen
after the war, the European leaders must
focus what can they do today to defeat
Russia to help Ukraine win. Let's say
Europe has€ 200 billion euros worth of
Russian central bank assets and they sit
on those money and they protect those
money much better than they are
protecting Ukrainian civilians,
Ukrainian children. And without the
clear commitment from the European
leaders to help Ukraine win this war,
unfortunately it will never stop because
unpunished evil always grows.
And how would you describe morale in Kev
this morning?
>> Well, of course, people are very tired
after you are not sleeping. Uh after
you're having a sleepless night, uh you
are uh very hard to you know operate and
go through the uh daily routine.
But people are of course very angry and
people of course understand very well
what is at stake. So all of the Russia's
attempts to make Ukrainian society want
to capitulate by bombing randomly uh
residential houses across K in different
regions but across Ukraine that was the
case in Viv that was the case in Lut in
Zapuria I mean it's a very typical uh
tactics that they are applying and it is
not working because Ukrainians
understand very well what is at stake.
take and we understand that at this
point our strongest and most solid
security guarantee is the Ukrainian
armed forces and we have to make sure
everything that we can that they are
equipped with all of the necessary
equipment in time and that they are
staffed and have enough men to be able
to deter and push back Russian
aggression.
